The City of Hobart is rejuvenating the iconic Organ Pipes and Pinnacle tracks on kunanyi/Mount Wellington and will be closing tracks between December 2017 and June 2018.

draft Fern Tree Park Visitor Node Master Plan

The draft Fern Tree Park Visitor Node Master Plan includes Fern Tree Park, Fern Tree Bower, Silver Falls, Fern Glade quarry car park and the network of tracks that connect these sites. The Trust and Hobart City Council sought community comments on the draft Master Plan in late 2016 and are now considering the submissions received and developing a final Master Plan for the area.

Planned burns completed

Two planned burns successfully completed. All walking tracks and fire trails in the burn areas are now open to the public.

Bridge Replacement on the Pipeline Track

Hobart City Council has completed replacement of the ‘twin bridges’ on the Pipeline Track between Browns Road and Neika. This section of the Pipeline Track is now open to walkers and bike riders.
