A treasured 18,011 ha reserve on the doorstep of nipaluna, lutruwita / Hobart, Tasmania. The Park stretches westward from the 1271m summit of kunanyi / Mount Wellington. Spectacular lookouts, dramatic cliff faces, boulder fields, waterfalls, fern glades and amazing dolerite rock formations await.
The Trust acknowledges and pays respect to Palawa as the traditional and ongoing custodians of lutruwita. Although the Muwinina, whose land included that of Wellington Park, did not survive invasion, we honour their legacy as genuine caretakers of their mother mountain, kunanyi.
Wellington Park is closed on days of Extreme or Catastrophic fire danger in the Upper Derwent Valley or Southeast forecast districts. View today's forecast
